
Ian Jackson
Chief Executive
Ian Jackson is the Chief Executive of the Sir Clive Lloyd Healthcare Foundation. He brings more than two decades of senior NHS experience in England, specialising in large‑scale service transformation, population health, and the design of high‑impact national programmes.
As Chief Executive of the Sir Clive Lloyd Healthcare Foundation, Ian leads the organisation’s mission to reduce prostate cancer mortality among Caribbean and diaspora communities through early detection, culturally grounded outreach, and regional system strengthening.
Ian currently serves as the National Adviser for Opt‑Out Testing Implementation at NHS England, where he leads the rollout of routine HIV and Hepatitis B and C testing across 90 Emergency Departments in England – one of the most ambitious public health initiatives in the country. His work has been central to improving early diagnosis, reducing inequalities, and embedding prevention into frontline urgent care. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he acted as the Critical Care Programme Director for the NHS in London.
Ian also serves as a Trustee of Rethink Mental Illness, the largest charity in England supporting people living with or affected by serious mental illness.
Ian lives in Whitstable, England, with his wife Diane. He is a lifelong cricket fan, and a keen golfer.
