Jo O’Brien

General Counsel

Jo O’Brien is General Counsel for the Sir Clive Lloyd Healthcare Foundation, bringing corporate and commercial experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector. 

She began her career at Slaughter and May, specializing in public and private M&A, before spending eight years at Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC. During her tenure at Hikma, a global pharmaceutical company, she most recently held the role of General Counsel for Europe.

Jo holds an MA in History from St John’s College, Cambridge and completed both her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP University. She qualified as a solicitor in 2013.

Jo lives in London with her husband and two young sons. She loves skiing, hiking and watching sport with her boys.
